Content generation

Content Settings

Configure how AI generates your content

Configure basic settings that control how WP Automator generates content for your WordPress sites.

How It Works

WP Automator uses AI to generate articles based on topics you provide. The system:

  1. Takes your topic input
  2. Generates an appropriate title
  3. Creates content based on your settings
  4. Publishes to WordPress

Basic Settings

Core Options

Word Count

Target length (300-3000 words)

Language

Content language (default: English)

Settings Hierarchy

Settings can be configured at three levels, with more specific settings overriding general ones:

Global Settings (defaults for all sites)

Group Settings (applies to sites in a group)

Site Settings (specific to individual site)

Configuring Settings

Global Settings

Set defaults that apply to all your sites:

  • Default Tone: Professional
  • Default Word Count: 800 words
  • Default Language: English
  • Auto-Publish: Yes/No

Group Settings

Override global settings for specific groups of sites:

  • Create groups like "Tech Blogs" or "News Sites"
  • Set group-specific word counts or tones
  • All sites in the group inherit these settings

Site Settings

Fine-tune settings for individual sites:

  • Override both global and group settings
  • Perfect for sites with unique requirements
  • Changes only affect the specific site

Content Generation Options

Tone Options

Available tones for content generation:

  • Professional - Formal, business-appropriate
  • Casual - Conversational, friendly
  • Academic - Scholarly, research-focused
  • Creative - Engaging, storytelling style

Word Count

  • Minimum: 300 words
  • Maximum: 3000 words
  • Default: 800 words
  • Recommendation: 600-1200 for blog posts

Tip: Longer articles tend to rank better in search engines, but ensure the content remains valuable and not padded.

How Topics Work

Input Format

Simply provide a topic, and the AI will:

  1. Generate an appropriate title
  2. Create structured content
  3. Include relevant sections
  4. Add a conclusion

Example Topics

Good topic examples:

  • "benefits of remote work"
  • "how to start a small business"
  • "best practices for email marketing"
  • "understanding cryptocurrency basics"

What Happens Behind the Scenes

When you provide a topic:

Your Topic: "email marketing tips"

AI Generates Title: "10 Essential Email Marketing Tips for Small Businesses"

AI Creates Content: Full article with introduction, tips, and conclusion

Published to WordPress: As post or draft based on your settings

Best Practices

For Better Results

  1. Be Specific - "email marketing for restaurants" vs just "marketing"
  2. Stay Focused - One main topic per article
  3. Consider Your Audience - Adjust tone accordingly
  4. Test Different Lengths - Find what works for your sites

Common Settings Combinations

News/Updates Site:

  • Word Count: 400-600
  • Tone: Professional
  • Auto-Publish: No (review first)

Blog/Resource Site:

  • Word Count: 1000-1500
  • Tone: Casual
  • Auto-Publish: Yes

Corporate Site:

  • Word Count: 800-1200
  • Tone: Professional
  • Auto-Publish: No

Limitations

Current Limitations:

  • No custom prompt templates (uses system defaults)
  • No fine-tuned AI models
  • No content templates or structures
  • Basic tone options only

Tips for Success

  1. Start Simple - Use default settings initially
  2. Test on One Site - Before bulk generation
  3. Review First Batch - Check quality before auto-publishing
  4. Iterate Settings - Adjust based on results
